2010 Gallaudet National Essay, Art and ASL Contest Winners
Four students won awards in the 2010 Gallaudet National Essay, Art and ASL Contest.<
Senior Bri Herold won second place for her essay, “The Butterfly Effect” and with it a $1000 scholarship for Gallaudet University;
6th Grader Elizabeth Linstaedt won second place for her artwork, “Deaf Space Engineer” and a $75 cash award;
6th Grader Tiffany Anderson won an Honorable Mention for her ASL entry, “Feed My Starving Children” and a $25.00 cash award;
6th Grader Emelia Beldon won a Judge’s Award for her ASL entry, “Right to Sign”. Each work will be published in Gallaudet’s online contest magazine, Celebrate!
