Spoken English
MDS-MNSA offers speech therapy services to any student that would like to take advantage of this service. Goals for each student will vary and depends on the needs of each child and family. We have two Speech Language Therapists who serve our Pre-K through 12th grade population. The following are areas that may be worked on during speech sessions:
- speech reading (lipreading)
- articulation
- auditory training
- improving spoken English vocabulary
Some students have cochlear implants, some students use hearing aids, and some do not use any type of amplification. Each student has goals and objectives that are developed to meet their individual needs.
